Damn.

Beautiful Broken Love truly lives up to the name of this book. I cried, got teary-eyed, and laughed throughout this story of Davina and Deke. Shanora Williams did such an amazing job of portraying grief with her words, and how the ups and the downs during this process can take it's toll on you. The writing flowed so well, and I absolutely loved that we got dual POV (Davina and Deke).

Please read Beautiful Broken Love; it's a romance (and yes, it's got spice) but it offers so much more.

I haven't read a 5 star book in a long while. This was refreshing and beautifully written. The issues of the characters were weaved into the story masterfully and the conversations were heart felt and relatable. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Immediately yes. I loved every single word of this book. This story was so friggin beautiful and broken. I have typed and erased so many sentences because I find it hard to review without giving any spoilers. I went into this as blind as possible only really knowing that the book was about grief and with that, I think it was incredible. There are so many stages of grief and they are neither linear nor timebound. There are so many overlapping emotions that coexist within that grief and this story explores all of them. The friendships and family in this book are top tier (with some exceptions). The romance unfolded in such an enjoyable way for me as a reader. The only critique I have is that the FMC's profession seemed to kind of disappear around the halfway mark and I'm like "wait, what happened to the such and such project"? But I feel like there will be a book two (pleeeeaaaasse, be a book two) following two very intriguing side characters. But yes, even given that little plot hole, it's still five stars! I seriously honestly don't want to read anything else. I want to immediately reread this cover to cover. 

The audiobook is also one of the best I've ever heard. I want to listen to more from the female narrator. She had so much passion and emotion in her work omg. Ten stars for her.
