A good read which moves quickly and is well written. I have to say that the author pulls the two stories (one about Grace Metalious and the other about The Sheep Pen Murder) together very well.

The book nicely but not overly provides details and has plenty of well-researched facts. We learn a lot about Grace and how she came to write the book, about the killings as well as some dirty deals, family secrets and behind the scenes melodrama. Not unlike the book Peyton Place and the series which followed it in the 1960s.

This might just make those who were not around in the 50s and 60s want to read the book and it's sequel, watch the two films and check out the series (most of which as of today is on YouTube). https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBsy4mW8B2c2jpPSh66rHklE_rkeoxIXc
