This was somewhat predictable, but there were some ridiculous and far-fetched twists.
The dog Merlin seemed to fade away after his ice cream eating debut with very few mentions afterwards.
I am pretty certain I’ve said this in previous reviews for Kiersten, but her books are more young-adult and have me rolling my eyes at the communication between characters.

I really enjoyed the creepy, eerie feeling to this entire book. From the moment Jack’s mother moves in, strange things begin happening and Loren is convinced her mother-in-law has something to do with it. Afterall, what does she really know about her new husband and his family?
I had been waiting and waiting to be genuinely creeped out by a book and I found it!! It wasn’t so much that it was actually scary but more so the fact that I could see all of this happening n real life and THAT would be terrifying. Can we say….SINGLE FOR LIFE!
