it was pretty good! i found it hard to keep track of all the characters, especially at the end. obviously the author included that glossary of people at the beginning but it’s hard to refer to as a kindle reader.
generally, an interesting and complex story. it suffers a little because of how little the author was actually involved with some of the main events, but it was well written and i was very interested while reading!
a very fiction-y feeling nonfiction book

A bit slow to start but it did get to the point where I couldn’t put it down. Very well structured in terms of pace. I admire the author’s honesty, self-criticism, and balanced criticism of his teammates.

Probably my favorite book ever. I could reread this anytime any where and get lost in it. Hell, I could probably open it up to any page and take off from there. Krakauer is such an engaging storyteller and while this book makes me NEVER want to climb Everest it has given me an understanding of the people who feel called to do so.
