I love Christina C. Jones, but I can't place finger on why this book didn't shine as much as her other books for me. All the elements were there, but I was a little bored with the mystery/thriller aspect of it. It felt like there were too many twists that I just lost interest towards the end.

Not bad, I guess this just wasn't for me.

A mystery/suspense for those who do not usually partake in the genre

This story has all of the elements of page-turning goodness. I really could not stop reading. I’m not a big fan of mystery/suspense, but I can rock with a story like this! Wick was a fine specimen of a man and great protector. Monica was strong, classy, and relatable. I gave this book five starts because it kept me thoroughly engaged from start to finish.

Monica and Wick!! The analyst in me was here for this book!! I love a good suspense story, attempting to figure out the whodunnit as you take in the words. CCJ does not disappoint in this one and I can’t wait to jump back into the series!

CCJ never disappoints. When I thought I had everything figured out, there was a twist I never saw coming.

I don’t think this one was for me, there were some parts that realllyyy made me cringe and roll my eyes. Also, in some chapters, the MC’s would say ‘it makes perfect sense’ when in fact it did not make perfect sense

I listened to a few chapters of the audiobook and learned it was a murder mystery and I don’t like those types of books.
