As per usual, beautiful writing by Adrian Tchaikovsky and great world building. I had a bit of an issue with the pacing at some parts of the book but overall, I enjoyed it once it picked up and move to the next gear and from there on it was hard to put down. Iloved the themes explored in this book and the humour between Charles and the Wonk, their banter was a well-timed comic relief through the book. I had my suspicion with the Wonk but I anticipated her actions at the end might be the opposite of what transpired but I'm not mad about the ending it was much better ending than the one I had in mind.
After finishing this I read somewhere the meaning behind chapter naming, mind blowing. That went over my head

A lot of this book felt like reading Catch 22 again for the first time.
