I picked this up thinking that it was going to be similar in feel to Gallant. Maybe audio was just the wrong choice for me in that regard. It was still pretty good!

Since I am very bad at concentrating at the moment (plus have a short attention span sometimes) I needed something light to read. Not in the sense of a light story, but in a not complicated way of writing. This book was just perfect for that and I could concentrate most of the time and follow the story (which was wonderful. It took me on a railroad of emotions sometimes).

For everyone who needs something to relax but doesn't want to let go of spooky stories (I was so afraid at one moment, I didn't want to turn out the lights xD) this is the perfect read. Definitely getting the next book!

właściwa książka we właściwym momencie

This was a really good little read - as a massive fan of Victoria I was excited to get another glimpse into her middle grade books as I really enjoyed The Near Witch.

I have to say while I did like this book it didn’t come close to the Villain’s series for me and I definitely enjoyed The Near Witch more.

But over all this is a well excluded middle grade spooky story, and was an incredibly atmospheric read!

I definitely look forward to the next book and I can’t wait to find out more about Jacob and see how Cassidy and his relationship evolves with the new information Cassidy found out!

All in all a good little read, and definitely worth it for any V.E. Schwab fans!

Such a cute (and slightly dark) story of ghost friendship :D Cannot wait for a sequel since I've fallen in love with both Cassidy and (especially) Jacob.
