The Y The Last Man re-read continues. In this installment, Yorick, Dr. Mann, and Agent 355 take a detour to intercept a space capsule containing a woman and possibly the two last men alive besides Yorick somewhere in Kansas. I'll refrain from saying "Houston, we have a problem" but it does not go as planned.
As per volumes 1 and 2, I have to say this held up pretty well, although the two issues about the play make me wonder if things will start to slow down after this volume. BKV knows when to do humor and more importantly, not to do humor in the dialog. Pia Guerra's art continues to do it's job but not be overly flashy. Then again, not every comic needs to be done according to How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way.
That's all I want to say without fear of spoiling things. At this rate, I'll be done with the re-read before the weekend. I hate to rush but they're so damn readable.

Each installment of this series is better than the next. I like how attached I am getting to the characters, but at the same time it worries me because I feel like nothing bad has happened in awhile. I like how this volume started out with a big serious, potentially story changing line and then ended with something a little lighter. I like getting the glimpses we do of how other people are surviving the plague.

i didn’t like it as much as the first two because i felt like it got a little boring. also, sexist. also, can yorick stop sleeping with every woman he meets and then crying about beth? it’s getting old.

Deviates a little bit from the main plot, but it offers something unexpected and intriguing.

I enjoyed the first part of this one, which was consistent with earlier volumes, but the second story arc didn't do much for me. Hoping it will pick up again in subsequent volumes.

Why am I surprised of these twists?! PS. Yorick's still useless tbh

It's frustrating to have to read this one little piece at a time. Though a few questions are answered in this installation, it wasn't very satisfying. Still, I'll soldier on because I want to know how it ends.
