4.75⭐️ this book was so so so cuteee i loved tara she reminded me so much of myself and i loveddd trevor definitely the book boyfriend i wanted! there was so many important topics in this book and it would have been 5 stars for me but i feel like the exes and reconnecting got super repetitive after a while but still super cute!!
My first spicy book = done
Listened for my book club. I wouldn’t say this genre style is my vibe so I’m not sure my rating is fair so I upgraded it from a 2 to a 3.
I think regardless of genre preferences there are serious holes within the characters. Unsure the literary term - but they were developed to be one way, but then they are oblivious to very obvious queues that their character should have been aware of. Ain’t no way homie.
Also, I don’t like when character descriptions indicate one visual but then further character descriptions prove your visual wrong. This whole time I didn’t have a good mental image of my leading character which really impacts my ability to illustrate and process the book in my head. I got zoned off being distracted my building my sims character that I lost track at times.
If contemp romance is your book preference, this might be a good one? Idk.
I do want to give bonus points to the title though. I got to my spicy scene before I knew what it meant. ;)

I haven't swooned over a romance book since 2022. God bless. This was ADORABLE.

This is my first Amy Lea book. The story was okay. I love romance books written in dual POV so the fact that we didn't get to read about the angst from Trevor was a bit disappointing. But it was cute and funny. I don't believe that I will read another from her. It just didn't grab me.

Good concept, horribly written, reads like a string of tumblr posts pasted together, please don’t write “spill the tea” and “lol” in your novel

This book annoyed me, but it kept me entertained on a long drive through me telling it how stupid it was. It was enjoyable for the fact that it was so obvious and required 0 brain power to get through.
Nothing was a surprise (who is this mystery character? That's right, you guessed it the first time they were mentioned), no one was in peril (I legit said "and Tiny Tim...WHO DID NOT DIE!"), and the tropes were troping (do Americans really last name each other all the time?!).
Not the worst thing I read, but I am not interested in the others in the series.
