Oh my goodness the banter and the funny moments in this book had me laughing! This was such a quick listen for me, I did not want to stop listening to it, so I of course finished this in one day. I loved the characters so much in this!

Would I recommend? YES! Especially if you listen to it.

this seems like it was written for booktok specifically. whether that's a good thing or not is up to you. it reads like a script of a 90s rom-com where the characters fall in love because they're the main characters. Tara gave me so much second-hand embarrassment, man. this is not for me, that much I am very sure of.

This was very funny and I had a good time. lots of longing and 2 sex scenes.
Draw backs: There was a scene where what someone was wearing was not specified, but to me is would not make sense for them to be wearing pants, and they just got up and had a conversation with someone. I rewound to see if I missed something in the audio-book, but it did not reduce my ???. I felt that at end Tara owed him a grovel, but what happened was "they both apologize."

The author seems to suffer from a self-aggrandised sense of worth and inflicts this upon their readers in a 'holier-than-thou' attitude. Not to mention the internalised misogyny where the woman is deeply flawed and delusional (in a failed attempt to make her seem more human and relatable) but the man is perfect and god-like with no flaws whatsoever (aside from not wanting to put up with the female main character's mess, which is understandable). Reading for many people is an escape from the grasp of technology, so if I had known that this book would subject me to another brainless twit who was desperately trying to become an 'influencer' I wouldn't have gone anywhere near the book. Still, you have to hand it to Lea, she knows how to accurately capture how annoying aspiring content creators are in script form. The constant pop-culture references make this book seem dated even only a year after its first release, and I wonder why so many authors are happy to write fiction that is very clearly only going to fade into oblivion after a short period of time. However irritating the book and its characters are, I gave it two stars because I didn't quite feel that it only deserved a one star rating, though I'm currently failing to recall any redeemable qualities about the story.
