3-3.5 ⭐️ — I absolutely loved the first book in the influencer series, Set on You, so I knew going into this second book that I would enjoy it! It was a quick, enjoyable read, it felt like I was flying through which I looove.
While this was a cute read, I found myself cringing at Tara A LOT. I liked that she was a book influencer (duh) but I found her to be annoying and unfortunately quite childish for her age. I mean.. hunting down every single one of your exes? I get the second chance trope but I feel like this was a bit much. I enjoyed Trevor though!
All in all, a cute read that I would recommend if you’re looking to get through something quick.

Super cute romance with a quirky FMC that I totally related to and a studly love interest that I liked the sounds of… a lot.
It took me a minute to get into this…and I wasn’t sold on their love story…but I liked each of the main characters enough to stay invested in the story and root for them the whole way.
There were some head-shaker moments though that I won’t go into because spoilers.
I liked the idea of Tara exploring a second chance romance with her exes…but it didn’t shine through in the story as much as what was maybe intended. It was just kind of there?! Same with Kyla…I’m not sure why she was needed in here at all.
I haven’t read set on you (the authors debut novel)…but I’m not sure I want to. Crystal seems like kind of a B, tbh. I get wanting to protect your sister, but making her doubt herself?! Not cool.
I also wish there was more of chapter 28, much sooner.
Overall, this was a fun read - perfectly for Valentine’s Day - that I would definitely recommend to my romance reader friends!

i dont find trevor a hot name but THIS TREVOR WAS SO FUCKING HOT
~ her stupid dickhead ex seth should have been killed tbh!!! ( but this isnt a dark romance or mafia book so ofc that disnr happen. The man had the audacity to tell her to lower her expectations ( like bro just because she wasnt the right woman for you does not mean she has to lowwr her expectations. THE FACT HE AND SOME OF HER OTHER EXES CALLED HER “clingy “ or “crazy” like GIRLIE WAS NOT THAT. This book was a love letter to all of us girlies who dream OF FINDING THE MAN WHO WILL ACCEPT US . the one who will love us even though we are extra. even though we are dramatic. even though we have high expectations. even though we have “unrealistic expectations “ . ALL OF US WHO DReam of finding a man like the heros of out romances and i felt seen.

With all the craziness . being obsessed with fictional men. having the ideal men in my mind . the fact PEOPLE SAID SHE SHOULD LOWER HER STANDARDS BUT OMG TREVOR DID NOT SAY THAT. trevor made it its mission when they were dating to BE HER EXPECTATIONS. I felt the opposite to some people. i adore tara and she quickly became loveable to me .
some people thought she was absolutely Annoying or that trevor deserved better but i disagree. i think trevor and tara work well together and i love them so much!!
the fact he literally proposes to her using a book!! he madd a short little book TO PROPOSE TO HER ( cover and all ) ~ this man LITERALLY !! the way he also alphabatisws her books. my guess is he probably would also go to bookstore with her and buy and hold books for her.
