3.8 Because I read this after the 12th book, a lot of the info was already familiar to me, though I did learn some new info especially related to the world history, the Forsaken, and Seachan. Would recommend to read after about book 7, whenever it was published in the book order. Very fun but hoped for more.

I think that this is a nice resource for those who wish to have a central repository of the history. Will enhance many of the backstories. Also completed after Book 7, so you can read it halfway thru series. I bought it initially thinking it was just written. My bad for not reading the publication date.

This is basically like an encyclopaedia about the Wheel of Time. It’s full of spoilers, so do not read it before finishing all 15 books. You have been warned. The content is actually quite interesting, but it’s quite boring. I’d use this book more like a reference book, but I’m not sure when I would read it. If you check anything while reading the books, you are bound to find unwanted spoilers, and if you read it after finishing all the books (like I have), you may get bored (like I have).

While the information is nice to have, it was written in such a dry manner that I felt like I was reading a text book. Also, the character portraits were rather lacking.
