What a lovely story about embracing change and believing in yourself despite self-doubt. This was recommended as a classroom read-aloud, and I think I will use it with my students at the end of the year to recognize the bravery and resilience they have shown throughout this year of change and to encourage them to continue to chart their own paths.
Be a leader rather than a follower. Be brave even though you are afraid. Persevere even if you take the wrong path or fall. Move through your life with love and kindness.
I saw this on a list of books that should be read out loud. For some reason it peeked my interest enough to borrow a copy from the library. It is wonderful. Don't be afraid to follow a new path. You will stumble, Don't be afraid to ask for help a long the way. Lots of great reminders for young and old alike.
A perfect book, reading it felt like a hug I didn't know I needed. For children, but for adults too. Pure joy.
Ask the road which way to go and it reveals that it is all up to you. The road encourages us no matter what we choose, and we learn any direction we choose is the right choice for us to learn.
Good for read aloud and discussion with middle grade students.

A beautiful book, perfect for life changing moments. A great graduation gift. Gorgeous writing, lovely illustrations, and a fantastic message.
Very pretty if a bit simplistic. I kept wanting to interject my middle aged adult sensibilities.
