Very good YA book. Action focused and would be excellent for reluctant readers especially those who enjoy the I Survived series.

I honestly went in knowing this was gonna be a tear jerker. I can't imagine being 9 years old and going through such a disastrous moment. I went through Katrina but that's something completely different than surviving 9/11. Then knowing what it's like in a other country to get the POV of that family puts everything into perspective.

10/10 great read

My 12 year old niece was reading this book, and so I decided to check it out. I am so glad I did. It is more of a young adult novel, which I think is perfect as the young adults that it is geared to where not even alive on September 11, 2001.

The story has two parts, one a 9-year old boy fighting for his life inside the North Tower on 9/11 and the second an 11-year-old girl fighting a different sort of fight in present day Afghanistan.

I really enjoyed how the stories were intertwined and the author did a great job of creating a narrative based on the actual events of that awful day.
