This book, a tale of a drama fillers family is grifters and con artists, has an interesting concept! I was disappointed that the book has little to do with cons and the characters never left a single house for the ENTIRE BOOK - seems like a lazy use of what could have been an amazing concept!

Jillian Morewood knows family comes first, that's why she spend the last 3 years in prison... for her family. The Morewoods aren't the normal family that does business together; their true business is conning rich people, and enrich the family funds. Now Jillian is on a quest to turn the family into an honest one; however, her family is putting up a fight. They don't want to go straight, and their cons are just the tip of the iceberg.
I don't know 'bout The Nest, but the two other movies this book was compared to have nothing in common with this book at all, IMO. This book isn't a mystery, it definately doesn't read as a thriller either if you ask me. What it is though, is a family drama/humor book. Once you assimilate this book was falsely marketed, it starts being fun to read, or in my case, listen to the Morewood family shenanigans.
Having said that, I was expecting more. There wasn't really a climax to the story, no big reveal other than the obvious. I felt like we were going to get a traitor reveal at the end, and we didn't: and if I'm being honest, I thought the author was leaving little breadcrumbs here and there, and I was disappointed that it wasn't the case. Still, this was funny, and I liked it.

I really enjoyed the first half of this book. The con artist family was entertaining. When the bodyguard romance was introduced, I was excited for it, but in the end was let down. It didn’t feel authentic given the background of both characters and the situation.

this book was so bad i don't even have the energy to tell you why (no plot, too many characters, slow, tone didn't match the concept, annoying main character, the romance was so fucking weird and odd and misplaced, it was bad)
