This was an amazing book, beautifully written and the story was extremely interesting. But, THE ENDING! It was extremely underwhelming, an epilogue was expected because the
Spoiler college scene was the pretty much leaning towards it and we need to know more details about Maxs trial and other things
If not for  that, this book would’ve been the perfect end to this trilogy, but it was still very good overall.

A very solid end to the trilogy. I’ll miss these characters.

I'll just start off by saying that honestly, if not for Ravi, I would probably rate this even lower.

I really liked the first two books in this series, I think they were really well achieved and easy to read. Keep in mind that this is a YA series, and I did already think that book 2 was more violent and graphic than book one, but this one? What a wild fucking book, really didn't like the turn this took for the end of the series, and I REALLY did not like the ending. This definitely took a very dark turn and felt way to explicit for the conclusion to a YA series, more like a Criminal Minds episode. Please check trigger warnings, and I would definitely not recommend this last book to younger teens.

I will also say I know I'm in the minority here, a lot of people have read this and loved how the series ended, so take this with a grain of salt and definitely still read it if you're interested, especially because I did quite like the first two books. As usual, my favorite part was Ravi, he's just the absolute cutest and that's also why the ending to this really annoyed me
Spoilerhow in the world are you just going to absolutely break his heart like that after everything he did for you, specially in this book, and just ghost everyone in your life for almost two years
.

Let's get into the story then - this books big event happens at about the 50% mark, and I had already guessed who "the bad guy" was by then - everything from there on out was a complete mess, tons of bad decisions, some really scary situations, some morally dubious choices that I honestly couldn't agree with most of the time, and just overall it felt like this was a completely different series written by a completely different author for the remaining 50%. I'm honestly slightly outraged at some of what went down - which definitely didn't help when I got to the last couple of chapters and really didn't like the conclusion.

So overall, did I read it really quickly just like the first two? Yes. Did I enjoy it? Yes, until the 50% mark. Did I think this was the ending to the series we deserved? No, and I don't think Pip and any other characters deserved the ending we got.
