It is always impressive when a creator, author, director, graphic novelist etc can continue a true crime novel that stays put in once place. Riverdale did not manage it. Hail, did not manage it. A good girls guide to murder? Did. It is impressive the way Holly Jackson not only manages to work so many crimes into one area and make them play out in a believable way. It excellent that she does not skip the ugly truths of trauma that would accompany these events. Excellent story, excellent plan, very well written. Althought not for young people. This had me looking over my shoulder for a bit. A lot of content warnings.
