A good sweet and spicy holiday read. Had more fillers than I expected but an enjoyable read.
Spoiler Free Portion: THIS WAS THE CUTEST GRUMPY x SUNSHINE STORY EVER. I was hooked within the first chapter of the book, and as I kept reading I just want more and more. I really enjoyed the plot between the FMC with MC, and all the involvement of side characters. It felt like you really got to know everyone within however many pages this book is. If you are looking for a holiday book with friendly competition, grumpy x sunshine, little angst with the best of all spice - this is the book for you!

Spoiler Portion: If I am remembering correctly, this author has or will have more books that feature other characters and I hope that the ones this book is mainly centered around will make an appearance. I loved Theo and Bridget so much and I would love to hear about how they are doing!

Booked for the holidays was such a treat. A single dad and a bookstore/bakery owner? Do we need to say more?
It was a little bit of a slow burn at first for me but once they started hanging out, things picked up realllll nice. It had all the cozy holiday activities and vibes. Plus Mac (MMC Daughter) was the cherry on top. I loved her trying to get them together and setting her dad straight. Overall, very happy with this pick for my last full length holiday novel!

This was good but not amazing. I enjoyed that it was basically every good aesthetic scene in Gilmore Girls but smutty, but the tension just was not there for me
I love Bridget and Theo and their story, but truthfully Mac was my favorite character hands down, which is surprising because I usually don’t enjoy romances where someone has a kid. Such a cute story to get me in the holiday feels
Kudos to Chelsea Curto for self publishing 3 books in 2022 - definitely not a easy feat!
A very cute Christmas story featuring a grumpy x sunshine trope. I loved Theo and Bridget.
This book felt quite long at times at and some scenes felt a bit drawn out/unnecessary. It was a slow burn that took quite some time, and then we got to the steam - oh boy was there steam!

I really enjoyed this one! Booked for the Holidays starts off with a competition where two shops are paired up to collaborate and come up with a theme to decorate their stores. Bridget owns a bookstore and Theo owns the hardware shop next door.
The relationship between Bridget and Theo was probably one of the most wholesome I've read. They're not perfect but they communicate so there isn't really a big blow out or anything crazy. It leans more towards slice of life.
I thought there were many cute momments and I love how there are so many book-related thoughts that (as a reader) I could identify with. Bridget also has a spicy book club and I love that! I want a spicy book club that meets!!
"Books have always been my happy place. As the one true joy and a constant fixture in my life, they've loved me back unconditionally and unwaveringly over the years."
The last half of the book felt slower despite this is where a lot of the spicy scenes happen.
"Sounds like you've only been with boys, then. What a shame. Real men don't give a f*** about how they learn, as long as their girl gets off. Books, Videos. Live demonstrations. They all sound good to me."
"I liked your come on my fingers, Bridget, but I'm going to like it even more when it's on my c*ck."
"Good." A thrust. "F*cking". Another thrust. "Girl." A Third."
**Passes away**
So even though this wasn't quite a four star read, there were definitely still some great things about this book. I'd definitely recommend it if you're looking for a spicy holiday read!
