Such a weird one-very grief centric but with so much humor. Harnett nails that combo in both of her published books. I loved our main character Elvis and her neurodivergent mind (though it is never explicitly stated as such). If you love weird books with humor and adult books written from the POV of a kid (preteen in this one), pick this one up ASAP. I cannot wait for Harnett to publish another book. Another instant best of the year and it's only January.  (Please check triggers because there are a lot of explicit mental health depictions in this one among other things.)

This was so cute! I love the grieving-preadolescent trope, from Memory Wall to My Grandmother Told Me To Tell You She's Sorry, I just really like how raw it tends to feel.
