Innocent book where Elvis navigates life after her mom dies. Funny and sad at times. Strong characters.

I do not like YA typically. But the podcast that mentioned this book said that it was pretty dark and it delivered. It was dark, bizarre, and I kept wanting to pick it up and read more.

Overall and enjoyable read for someone who usually finds YA plots too petty and ridiculous to engage with.

This was so cute! I love the grieving-preadolescent trope, from Memory Wall to My Grandmother Told Me To Tell You She's Sorry, I just really like how raw it tends to feel.
