Thoughts: Ugh I seriously love this series!! I loved this couple, I fought with this couple and I cried sooo much with this couple. Also super happy that The Scribe and Vishous are ending on a more positive note in this book..onto book 6!

The author has definitely improved her writing. She had stopped adding multiple plots that go nowhere and she has removed the dialogue between the 'lessers'--something that added absolutely nothing to the story but detracted significantly.
Her writing has matured and she is writing more compelling stories.

Ok this book was just wrong on so many levels as far as I'm concerned.
Yes I know this is not politically correct and will offend others but really the whole foray into a pseudo gay thing between Butch and V was just creepy and unnecessary. I figure she probably got criticism for not having sexual diversity in her books and thought well I don't want to lose the hetero readership so let me throw something in for the same sex crowd but honestly no, It just didn't make sense and I felt the writer did herself a disservice with this.
Then the ending! really that was ghoulish and creepy and did not feel like the HEA Ward tried to convince me it was. Seriously there are certain things you just cant pass off as normal even in a paranormal romance. Dead is dead and this ending to me was right up there with necrophilia in the creepiness department.
In a nutshell, this was an epic failure as far as I'm concerned and I just finished the book because right now I have nothing light and entertaining to read and my life is so hectic I need that escape. So its desperation really but for this one I would have given no star if I could have.

LOVED IT!!!!!! The end was lacking but overall this book was great. It took me on a roller coaster of emotions. I think this is Ward's last great book of the series. Phury's story sucked and Rhevs was okay.
Though this book covered many plot lines, I found I needed to keep up with all the characters. I stayed up way past bedtime to finish this book, so it gets 5 stars.
4.5 stars I really enjoyed this one, I thought his story was way worse than Z story. The ending was a little off, but I like that each story is not predictable. I also like that each female character is very different from each other they have their own stories not like some books I've read. I also like that it was more about the brotherhood than those lessers.
