This was a pure delight! This cozy Christmas mystery was exactly what I needed. Our protagonist, Holly, has returned home to Mistletoe, Maine to her family Christmas tree farm after calling off her engagement just days before the intended Christmas Eve nuptials. Within days of her return, a well-known townsperson is murdered at the Christmas tree farm, and Holly tries to help solve the murder.
This one has all the elements of a Hallmark movie: the small, super cutesy town where everyone adores the holidays, sweet treats, a young, beautiful, heartbroken heroine returning home, and some hunky love interests. But! It also has murder!
This was genuinely a blast to read. It was cozy, it was warm, and it was a good mystery. I liked it so much that, when I finished it and found out it’s part of a series and there are two more books, I bought them for my Kindle. This really was a great read!

This was cute! I really enjoyed the story, I couldn’t predict the bad guy and the romance was light! Not a bad cozy!
Another fun cozy mystery! Out of the ones I have read this year, I think this has been my favorite. After being obsessed with Forensic Files for the past few months, I appreciated the murder mystery aspect of this one.
The characters were fun, but not outstanding. My favorite character was Cookie I think. She was great. The atmosphere was wonderful. Taking place in Mistletoe, Maine, it was the winter wonderland that is so familiar to me. The Reindeer Games that Holly's family puts on at their Christmas tree farm every year seemed like a blast and I wanted to go and take part in them myself.
I really appreciated the balance between the murder mystery aspect and the Christmas aspect. The murder was never lost, but it didn't outweigh the fun Christmas spirit of the book.

Super adorable Christmas cozy. Loved the characters, the setting, the mystery. All elements combined to make a charming story that I will revisit again. Might be perfect for a hot day in July!!
