Exciting

This book is sexy and thrilling with the crime to solve. This book is a page turner and keeps u on edge wanting to know who is the killer… I love the shapeshifter in the story as they are a tight fit family and very loving family that brought excitement and love to the story …

This is the second book in this series that I’ve read. And this one is a definite improvement on Wild Rain. The plot (although still pretty over the top) was enjoyable. The Characters were interesting and the sex scenes were fun. Would have liked it if the murderer hadn’t been so obvious. I knew who it was the moment the character was introduced.

good story, but I really hated those names.

I enjoyed this book as it was set in LA. Despite never having lived in that region it is one that I enjoy reading about. It always feels warm, comforting, and down-home so to speak. I enjoyed this book because it tied that in along with the rich music culture of the area. It also took a slightly different and unique approach to the ever so popular "shifters" genre in romance. I do not enjoy shifter books on the whole. I find them to fall into the same tropes and avoid re-invention or different views. These are "creatures" that are open to interpretation and do not need to follow other author's rules. I did pick up two other books by the author but later DNF'd down the line due to repetitive plot points- damsel in distress, woman is clueless about the whole situation and afraid of change, men are hyper-masculinized and all-knowledgable, etc, etc. I am trying to be more objective with my ratings and changed the 5 star to a 3 star. I did enjoy this book but did not feel it was worthy of a 5 star.

We met Saria Boudreux’s brothers in Savage Nature. Homicide cop, leopard-shifter Remy Boudreux is the oldest and on the hunt for a serial killer that threatens everyone he loves and their way of life. It is not the best time for a big eyed waif from their past to return to the bayou and steal his heart but that is exactly what happens in this wonderful new addition to Christine Feehans’ Leopard series. This book has all the fast paced adventure, mind bending mystery and steamy romance you expect from Ms. Feehan.

I think I probably should have read this one instead of listening to it. I'm all for hot & heavy romance novels, but when it takes a trip back & forth to work (over an hour) to get through one love scene ... well, it may just fall into an erotica instead of a paranormal romance. Just saying.

Having said that, I love Remy & Blue. I adore all the leopards, and this was a great addition to that world. Mahieu totally cracked me up. I'm looking forward to the day he gets a book (hopefully).

It took a bit to weed through all the lust to get to the whole serial killer/stalking/murder for hire muck though. I definitely had a OMG I JUST FIGURED OUT WHO THE SERIAL KILLER IS moment though. I love when that happens (and I end up guessing right).

So when I finally found out who did it, I was so surprised, and at the same time, it made sense. Unlike this review. ;) When the murderer is first introduced in the story, I immediately thought this person did it! But then as the story goes on, it's like there is no way! Very sneaky.

So good! Loved the characters in this one.
dark mysterious tense fast-paced

Really enjoyed this novel! I loved that the relationship wasn't seamless, and that they both kept making mistakes and stepping on each others toes. Also the murder story happening simultaneously up the tension in the novel. I didn't see the identity of the murderer coming at all.

Thoroughly enjoyed this novel, but then that's something I've come to expect from Christine Feehan's writing. You don't have to read the other novels in the series to know what's happening in this novel.
