2022: I didn’t enjoy this as much upon rereading, but it is overall still an enjoyable, episodic, deathy read.

2015: Chapter five almost made me cry; it was so beautiful. This was so imaginative. Bod is such an interesting character, what with his lack of fear and his ghostly ways. I was a bit mad with the ending  when Bod cannot live in the graveyard anymore once he hits puberty because magic can no longer exist once you hit puberty, apparently. But all in all this was a very, very good book.

Absolutely love this book, in case it wasn't obvious by the fact that I've read it 3 times now, ha ha! The characters are fantastic + I loved the spooky yet cozy vibes of the graveyard setting. It's quite lighthearted, but also manages to touch on some really heavy themes. Would absolutely recommend, especially to read around spooky season!
