An enjoyable book, but it took me a while to get into it.

All I can say is Wow. We really have to clone Seanan McGuire--I need more books.

This was so good that I want to start the series again--but there are only two. Guess I'll go re-read the just as good October Daye series.

Sigh. Why do I finish these good ones so fast, but am draaaaaging thru the morass of teenaged angst in the starting to get yucky Beautiful Creatures series? I need some old-fashioned, high-magic fantasy to take me away...

This is the second book in Seanan McGuire’s InCryptid series.

This is a book to read when you just want to have fun with urban fantasy. You can tell that these books are written by an author that loves mythology and supernatural stories — and then wanted to play with those ideas in a modern setting. This is a book for people who think reading can be, and should be, fun.

The protagonist runs around the city — like Spiderman without the webs. And is torn between professional ballroom dancing and protecting Cryptid as by fighting off the monster-hunters. Thoughtful and playful.

So much fun. I just adore this series--the Aeslin mice, the snark, the relationships--great humor, a rollicking plot, and a protagonist I can't help but love.

Another terrifically fun installment in the silly, exciting, and yes, suspenseful InCryptid series.
