I decided to read this after watching Netflix’s Mindhunter. It was super interesting to see what elements of the show were pulled directly from the book (and what parts might’ve been used later on in the show had it not been cancelled after just two seasons - RIP), and to learn how Douglas’s interviews with serial killers created profiling and how it changed how the FBI solved cases. My one grievance is that whenever Douglas talked about anything other his job - such as his personal life - he came off as bit of a blowhard. Also, all the examples of criminal profiling he gave all happened to be correct, never wrong…

Easy to read and found it fascinating to read while I was watching the show. After reading some other comments here, the author is definitely arrogant. But he was also right a lot.
