I did enjoy the experience of this book as I love Simon but in my opinion I might have enjoyed the book more if it were a little shorter as I found myself constantly checking page numbers.

3.5 stars. Overall, I really liked what this collection brought to the Shadowhunter world; Simon’s journey was funny, heartwarming, and entertaining, and his POV reminded me of how much I love the characters from the original series. However, I did feel that the smaller stories were sometimes not completely necessary; many were really good (i.e. Nothing But Shadows, and the last two, which are the freshest in my memory since I just read them), but I guess there’s a reason it took me two years to get through this anthology...I’m really happy I got to revisit the TMI characters in this way though. Now, I finally feel ready to binge through TDA in time for Chain of Gold. Here we go!

Něco mě bavilo něco zase ne.
Ale i když mám hodně smíšené pocity (hlavně kvůli příběhu Jamese Herondala, který měl být nejlepší z celé knihy, ale ve výsledku mě vůbec nebavil, stejně jako vzpomínky Roberta Lightwooda) tak ty 4* dám. Ve výsledku mě to totiž vážně bavilo - hlavně všechny části s Malec a Sizzy, kde fangirl ve mě skákala radostí - a to i přes to, že tam nějaké postavy byly trochu... Násilně vecpané? Ale jak jsem říkala (nebo psala, to je fuk) tak i když tam ty mínusy byly, celkový dojem je převážně pozitivní. No a pak tam byl Jace, který to těmi asi patnácti stránkami, které mu byly věnované celé pozvedl na úplně jinou úroveň literatury xD

Joder me encantó este libro, ver todo el crecimiento que tiene Simón de mundano a cazador de sombras, como se siente y piensa luego de perder sus recuerdos.
Tambien conocer a nuevos personajes como Julie, Beatriz, Jon, Marisol y George

Este libro hasta el momento, siento que es mi favorito. Ame demasiado!
Simon es mi favorito de TMI. Tiene muchas características que amo. Me encanta.
Y quizá por mi amor a él es que amo tanto el libro jajajajja
Tiene mucho contenido extra que son necesarios para entender las situaciones que ocurren en los libros de TMI y TDA, precisamente, es un tipo de puente entre uno y otro.
Cada historia es interesante y nos cuenta cosas diferentes. Además, aparecen personajes que ya conocemos. Y aparecen otros nuevos que son muy variados.
Solo diré que George se llevó mi corazón.

I read this book purely for the Matthew and James snippets and I was not disappointed. I love them beyond words <3
