2nd read: Simon is a little annoying in the beginning (and the middle) but he got me again in the end. All in all the story got better and better, but I can‘t forgive Cassie what she did to George, he deserved so much better, he deserved the world.

HER MO SO
Cassandra lo hizo de nuevo
Y Simon como protagonista es todo

i can't even put into words how much i love this. ok this maybe a bit biased since sizzy is my forever otp and simon is my most favorite character in tmi. but really, i've lost count of how many times i've cried over this book. over simon, over izzy, over george, over magnus, over tessa, jem & will. gosh, i just love them all. i never thought i could love cassie's characters even more but man, this book just did it. i absolutely cannot wait for the forthcoming books in the shadowhunter chronicles. i swear i can read them forever.

WHY?? also i actually really loved this and from that one short story I already know that I'm going to love (and relate to) James Herondale an unhealthy amount

this was goooood i love all the scenes of past n present that we got

I adored this so much. This book has reignited my obsession for Shadowhunters. Cassandra Clare's compilations of short stories in her companion novels are always a bop. Between this novel, the Bane Chronicles and Ghosts of the Shadow Market, I think this may be my #1. This was the last book (published to this day) in The Shadowhunter's Chronicles that I had left to read- and I LOVED every single story. Diving into the past and reliving so many moments and characters... Simon is one of my favorites in this saga so I adored him as the main character; but I was so excited to get to read about my other favorites too, the Infernal Devices, The Dark Artifices and the Last Hours cast too (the loml Will Herondale, Tessa Gray, Jem Carstairs, Emma and Julia, The Merry Thirves!). Obviously, some of our mains shine again here: Isabelle, Clary, Jace, Magnus, and Alec, and my new favorite Max 🥹. I loved it all. That ending was so heartbreaking, though... I simultaneously love and hate Cassandra Clare. all in all, I can't wait to dive back into this world when The Wicked Powers drop next year 😍✨️. Absolutely recommend!!

This was a collection of short stories, or that's the way it read. Simon Lewis, bereft of his memory, struggles through training at the Academy, with a new friend, his roommate, George Lovelace, at his side. Almost everyone from previous books shows up, and there's a lot of backstory here. You fall in love with Simon all over again, and George, and shock!!! even Alec. I never really warmed to Alec in any of the previous books, but in this volume, he finally captured my heart too. If you're a fan of the Shadowhunter world, you will just love this book. If you're new to Shadowhunters, you might want to start somewhere else first - with City of Bones, for example. Otherwise, it's another winner, for sure!
