So far having read Much Ado About Nothing on surface level only, the play was enjoyable but not always gripping. I believe this has something to do with the fact that this is my first Shakespeare comedy and it was really strange to read a Shakespeare so lighthearted. When I was reading Much Ado About Nothing I was honestly waiting for someone to die and I kind of had to snap out of my typical Shakespeare tragedy mindset. I will be reading essays on this and watching various adaptations and I expect, with that, as has happened with all other Shakespeare works that I have read, my thoughts on this play will grow fonder.

I read the orchard classics’ a shakespeare story version by andrew matthews for kids because i am a child at heart (read: not ready for the actual shakespeare version yet) and i liked it~ the illustrations were cute and i always enjoy stories where love is the catalyst of foolishness, lies, banter, and fun and of course when love prevails in spite of challenges. A classic. Beatrice and benedick i am enamored by u both
