En esta comedia romántica, Shakespeare nos plantea la cuestión de si el engaño puede ser el medio para un fin, ya sea un engaño bien o mal intencionado. Por un lado tenemos a Hero y Claudio, y cómo el engaño puede tanto unir como separar a la pareja. Por otro, Beatriz y Benedict, aportando el toque de humor y gracia a la trama. Sin lugar a dudas, esta última ha sido mi personaje favorito, y como muestra, la cita que os dejo un poco más abajo. Ese tira y afloja que disputa toda la obra con Benedict es divertidísimo. Hay una célebre versión cinematográfica protagonizada por Kenneth Branagh y Emma Thomson que no he visto, pero sin duda intentaré hacerlo, ya que promete un buen rato y casi todos mis compañeros en el miniclub de @foroabretelibro ya la habían visto.

I read this at school when I was about 15 as "an introduction to Shakespeare". No analysis of the text or anything, just to get a feel for 'aul Billy's words. I really liked it.
This is my favourite Shakespeare play and I adore Beatrice and Benedict. I've seen the Kenneth Branagh movie at least 15 times, but this was my first time reading the text. Since English is not my first language, reading Shakespeare is always hard, so having seen it first definitely helps with reading comprehension. It's a lot easier to understand the characters when you hear them say the words than when you're reading them with the original spelling.
