Surprisingly good I had to read it for school and I wasn’t against it but the more I read the more I ate up everybody’s encounters and the love stories and everything in it

Okay so I read this years ago as a freshman in high school and I remember loving it. It was the first Shakespeare play I read without too much difficulty and we even watched a production of it which added to my understanding. For a long time, I called it my favorite of the Shakespeare plays I had read.
Well! Reading it now my opinion has done a complete 180. The logic of the character's actions is nonexistent and there are some really dark themes underlying the overall plot. I did not find it to be a lighthearted comedy like I had previously.
Now ignoring my personal preferences, this is still a well-written play and its shortcomings have nothing to do with anything else. I just personally have a lot of issues with the plot and character morals so I don't really like it.

The og romcom

So many things to love

One of Shakespeare’s simpler plays, but still an amazing piece. So it was pretty easy to understand. But, finally, a strong, independent, don’t-need-no-man, woman. The sexual tension was very heavy in the play and partially it added to the story because a lot of fuss was made ... of nothing. This has been one of the better Shakespeare plays I have read and it has made me want to read more of his work. I’m always up for a good love story.

My favourite play out of the five I've read (Romeo & Juliet, Julius Caesar, Antony & Cleopatra, Hamlet and Much Ado About Nothing)
I was a little upset that Hero forgave Claudio so quickly, I wouldn't have just married a man that threw me across a bench.
But every other part was amazing!!!!
