I liked this one better than the first one, maybe because I read it? It does make all the details a little less tiring to get through, I think. Or perhaps I'm just more interested in cults than whatever the first one was about (I don't remember). As others have commented, there are a lot of coincidences, but I guess I can excuse that, since I was definitely into the story.
