3.5 for a couple disability slurs and the first plot just didn't really seem to meld with the overarching supervillians thing.
So weird that there's a vampire characters, but I guess at this point anything is possible as we have time-travels, mutants, black magic sorcerers, six toed giants, etc. It was interesting to see Cloak and Dagger as well. I've never seen them in action before. I also find the dialogue so funny. Like how the children were saying that Cloak's outfit was so slutty.
It might be that my expectations are too high; or that I keep wanting that “[b:Saga|15704307|Saga, Vol. 1|Brian K. Vaughan|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1486028947l/15704307._SY75_.jpg|19113524] magic”, and not finding it.
Also, it feels like this story keeps going in circles, it keeps ending up with the teens not one step closer to outing their parents.
Definitely better than the first volume, but still has undertones of misunderstood feminism. There’s just some jokes and dialogue that are grating because teenagers. But overall a great storyline. This one had a good twist and a fun cameo by Cloak and Dagger.
More good stuff. Loved the addition of Cloak and Dagger, haven't read enough involving them. Loved that they called her Dazzler too.
A nice follow-up to the first volume, with some surprise guests that made me want to read their comic!
I liked this one even more than the first. I will probably post more about this later.
