I realllyyyy wished this touched on the psychological aspect of these men. a whole huge facet of the argument was missing

Should be required reading for everyone. Tough to read at times, mainly because of the content and transparency of the things men in these groups write on the internet. I honestly did used to think that incels were a small number if weirdos on but I probably do encounter them in my day to day life — scary. All terrifying is recognizing some of the slang/language these groups use used by people I know.

i already knew most of the information in this book as a chronically online politically engaged person; however, this book depicts a wonderfully encompassing overview into the incel world and how that online space has begun to seep into larger everyday life. information that everyone should be aware and especially conscientious of when interacting with men and raising boys in our current political landscape.

Audiobook. Such a fascinating read!! I highly recommend that everyone read this IMMEDIATELY. I honestly think that people will not truly understand the spread of misinformation or the toxic political climate in the USA unless they hear what Bates has to say. She going deeply into how “obscure” corners of the internet are seeping into the mainstream BY DESIGN. If you have any children in your life, this will 100% help you to better understand what it means to grow up in a time with established social medias.
