This is a fantastic book. TRULY required reading!!!!!!! Laura Bates traces the lineage of mysogyny in it's most modern form to online communities breeding terrorism - it's taking lives, human rights, and wellbeing from ALL OF US, especially women. I can't express how much I truly learned reading this book.

This is a depressing must read. It was published in 2021 I believe, and reading it now in 2024 I think it’s even more depressing as so many of the themes discussed have become so much worse already.

Comprehensive, informative, and solution oriented. This is a pretty bleak read, but the small injections of Bates' wit combined with her suggestions for possible solutions to the various forms of modern-day misogyny outlined make what feels like a hopeless problem solvable (even if overcoming rampant misogyny is still incredibly daunting.)
