Graphic: Racial slurs
it’s been 4 days since i’ve finished this book and i actually can’t stop thinking about it. as someone who often romanticises their life, bridget jones: the edge of reason let me live in the fantasy of being in love with someone but knowing you can’t be together right now. i loved how bridget and mark kept crossing paths and they didn’t really want to be apart, a classic miscommunication just kept them separated. it’s wild how different this is from the film (which is my least favourite out of the 3) but i loved it. i am currently hyperfixating on bridget and mark and shall not be reading the 3rd one as I choose to remain blissfully unaware as to THAT plot twist. anyway this book was great, i actually can’t wait to reread it

Huzza! Bless female friendship and the Urban Singleton Family.
I will admit, I never really liked this movie much (especially compared to the others in the series) but the book is great. Probably not to the same level as the original, but perhaps that's a perspective thing - I am not yet old enough to totally represent this books demographic, so I can't relate quite as well to ALL of the issues.
We still hate you Rebecca and Daniel's of the world. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING SINGLE AND CHEATERS ARE SCUM!
Will read again with wine and cake.
