This had potential to be better than it was. I found the story-telling from different perspectives to be redundant as most of them were of the same scenes.
I’m really enjoying this series! I accidentally read book 2 before book 1, but it didn’t matter. An easy read that kept me gripped throughout, looking forward to book 3 now!

This is a well paced murder mystery where I found myself guessing the identity of the killer until the last pages of the book. The writing was well crafted, and I enjoyed the structure of three different narrators and trying to figure out whether one of them is unreliable. The end was somewhat disappointed, because I like it when a murder mystery gives a reader some subtle clues about what is really going on. In my opinion, there was a bit too much misdirection and one big plot hole. Still, a memorable book and it certainly deserved its Edgar award.
It’s been awhile since I read a ghost story/murder mystery and this was engaging enough with a surprising answer to whodunnit. And I do enjoy a tale told by multiple narrators
They don't even solve the murder, the murderer just reveals themself for no reason. Stupid.
This is nothing spectacular, but it is well-written, enjoyable, and mostly clean. I did figure out the culprit, bit my biggest mark against this book is that none of the characters are very interesting or deep.
