Princess Elizabeth is all set to marry Prince Ronald when a huge dragon attacks her castle, burns everything, and steals Ronald. Determined to save him, Elizabeth puts on the only thing left (a paper bag), finds the dragon, outsmarts him, and saves Ronald---whose reaction is to judge how she looks. Princess Elizabeth decides she is better off without Ronald, and goes on to live happily ever after.

Quite literally the best princess book ever made. Read to both boys and girls, because all children deserve to see girls with the determination, grit, self-confidence, and smarts that Elizabeth has.

Thankful November Reading Challenge
Prompt: Read a picture book

This is an undisputed classic and remarkable gem of a kids book. Inspiring, amusing, and empowering. Love this to the bottom of my heart.

Oh how I love this book. Unfortunately, I think I introduced it to Mini-Me a bit too early. The dragon scared her, and no amount of Elizabeth awesomeness could save the story. :(
