I loved it.
I'm a huge Dark Crystal and Age of Resistance (and puppet) fan so I was crazy excited to take a look at this series. You don't have to have watched the movie to enjoy this book but if I'm completely honest, it helps.
While I really enjoyed this and will be buying the rest asap, the book didn't feel like a ya as it was listed as. This isn't really a complaint, it doesn't need to be but be aware that its more a middle school read.
I loved the lore that this added to the original movie and I really enjoyed the slow paced adventure. I wish the book had been longer as not much happens but it's a solid base for a whimsical series.
