3.5/5 - Like most Stephen King books, this was a page-turner with some good ideas, gripping in places, but let down slightly by dodgy endings and clunky metaphors.

Another great collection by Stephen King. This one is quite different than "Different Seasons" in that all the stories are fanciful/horror. Somewhat disturbing at times (does SK have something against children??), but worth the read.

This is a really great collection. The more I read of Stephen King, the more I feel like short stories and novellas are where he thrives.

I flew through the first have of this book with my favorite stories being “The Longoliers” and “Secret Window, Secret Garden.” While I did enjoy the majority of “The Library Policeman,” I don’t think I’ll be reading it again. I don’t like to read about rape, especially sodomy. It is an incredibly difficult thing for my brain to digest, so I’ll be skipping that story whenever I read this book in the future. By the time I got to “The Sun Dog” I was a little bit bored. I think I’m going to read that story again sometime to give it the attention it deserves, but overall this collection is worth the read.
