Although the story, the characters and the cover are all super promising, this book was more than just a disappointment.
The first few chapters i regretted even picking the book up. It was way too fast, months passing in two pages.
The writing style did not get to me. Being used to classics and more five star reads, i cringed at the writing style every time i turned the page. It seemed like a short story written by a highschooler at best.
Something that made me cringe even more was how unrealistic and nonsensical the dialogues seemed. No one in this book talked like any real person would talk. Especially in the last few chapters it would get more unrealistic and unrealistic by page. From the scene with the President and the Birth - it all felt like a cheap fanfiction.
I really enjoyed Beverly and her character but you could’ve done soo much more with her character than it was shown in this book. She was shallowly written, not much insight into her head and if, it was all very fake-deep, melancholy described within 1 sentence. And in the next sentence a whole new topic would be described.
Another thing that really really irked me, and made me give only 2 instead of 3 stars, is the tons and tons of mistakes in this book. From grammatical errors, to missing sentences, weird spacing, missing punctuation. The sentence "Who are you?“ gets turned into "Who you are?“ and at some points the dialogue was written so badly with missing punctuation, that i had no idea who was even speaking.
Generally you can say this book is not for you if you really expect something - If you expect a well written storyline about a troubling girl. Pick it up if you’re in the mood for a story written like a fan fiction.
Like i said, the storyline itself is very good and i really liked Beverly. I hope this book gets revised somehow!

A great read. It moves at a snappy pace, and is unexpectedly sweet, classy, and heartwarming for a book about magic sex. The writing is phenomenal, with little metaphors that electrify every page.
My only quibble is that it could’ve used some more editing. There are writing slip-ups here and there, and the ebook has some formatting errors. Easy enough to ignore and/or fix in future editions though.

Girl like a bomb, by Autumn Christian was a nice departure from my typical reads. In a nutshell, it’s the story of a girl who discovers she has the ability to fix people’s lives from having sex with them and achieving orgasm. Sounds wild, right? It is. I don’t want to say too much because this one was such a joy to read I don’t want to spoil anything. Christian is an excellent writer and I thoroughly enjoyed the story she told in these pages. I enjoyed the book so much I immediately bought two more of her books. Highly recommend this one, it isn’t new for 2021 but it may be my favorite book I’ve read so far this year
