This is such an improvement on the first issue, I almost cant believe it. The bland villain is given a bit of backstory and development that, though nothing wholly original, reads well and makes the guy actually feel threatening. As for Poe, he's joined by C-3PO and a rather strange plot where Threepio is some sort of master spy. It's weird, but it works.

Life kept me from really getting into this one for a few days, but it was so good. You truly do get a feel for how intelligent Poe Dameron is. Plus Snap and his famous droid bring some canon love to the story.

More sassy Poe Dameron, more adventure, more BB-8 saving the day, and this time, more C-3PO! Fun diverting Star Wars content, aka just what I am in the mood for.

Certainly the best SW comic I've read in a while. Terex is a spectacular villain, Poe is a fun hero with a great jacket, and there's dogfights, political intrigue, and criminal dens aplenty. Feels fresh but also like core Star Wars. More Terex, please.

I enjoyed this much more than Vol. 1 (which I liked fine). Terex is a villain who is actually interesting and the idea of C-3PO as a spy-master is fabulous!

3.5. Quite an improvement compared with the first volume. The villain has been fleshed out into someone really interesting and now we know why Leia kept C3PO at her side. We got some high-risk X-Wing actions here but the ending was rather abrupt. Also I don't think I like that
SpoilerPoe can't defeat Terex is hand to hand combat and had to rely on BB-8 again to save him. Cmon, give the dude some winning moment. Leia did not make him her favorite operative because he is only a great flyer.
