Very addicting read.. I finished it in a day! Really makes you think about love and loss, and I found it really easy to connect with each character. It was kind of predictable at times, but I still loved it!

this is the book that has made me cry the most, i think, EVER in my life
the beginning was very odd and the writing style was kind of ~meh~ but the actual story was very good. the book captured grief very well

Not my favourite TJR book (I mean, I'm not sure any will top Evelyn Hugo!) but if you're looking for a bit of fluff and a bit of angst, this is a good one.

The happy ending can be seen from a million miles away, but the concept is a great one and the opening line? One of the best hooks I've ever read in quite some time.

I wish we had gotten a glance into Emma, Sam, and Jesse's lives years in the future but maybe one day...

“Just because something isn’t meant to last a lifetime doesn’t mean it wasn’t meant to be.”

This is the kind of book you have to read when you're questioning your relationship with your significant other. When you're not sure if you should take the next step or not because it would definitely make you think about true love.

"I think true love means loving truly. Loving purely. Loving wholly."

As what Emma realized after being reunited with Jesse was that it was true love. They loved each other purely and wholly then but not anymore. That's what broke me so much. I love Jesse so much, their beginning and ending was amazing. You can't hate him for being mad and angry for coming back and know your wife had moved on. But he can't even blame her or himself. It's just that that's what happened to them. That event made them both a different person now. I wished so badly for them to get back together and just be reunited but I fucking love Sam as well.

Sam was a breath of fresh air after grieving for a lost love. He was someone Emma needed after what happened to her. For us, meeting Sam was - as described by Emma - being pierced. You knew what was going to happen and you'll get hurt eventually. That first chapter, you knew immediately that Jesse was alive. So when she met Sam, you'd wish she'd stop and just wait for a few more years because the love of her life would come back alive and ready to get back to her. But you can't, because you're just the reader. And Sam was also everything you'd wanted for Emma. Anybody who can make you smile once a day is a keeper. So of course you'd want them to also end up together.

As what Marie said, someone will still get hurt eventually because she has to pick between two men. There is no right or wrong answer.

TJR, why bother hurting us when you're just going to bandage us all up after two-thirds in?!?!
