Well, I certainly wasn't expecting this to be a near-tearjerker 😭

Half a star off because of how insufferable Calla (and her mom) were at times. While Calla eventually came around, there are so many times I wanted to shake her and scream. I am so happy this is a series so I can see where their story goes from here.

My heart is both aching and full. What more could I ask for from a romance?

I wasn’t crazy about the main character in the beginning, but I do love how she evolved. I was smiling for her and crying with her by the end. Enemy to lovers love story with a sweet, heartbreaking story of a father and child. 

*I found this book through Tiktok after several people recommended it as a no spice romance book. It definitely has spice though. There is sex, though not overtly graphic.
