Loved this. A story about catfishing, from the perspective of the catfisher. But really also a story about anyone who's ever experienced the kind of loneliness offline that translates into a different kind of loneliness online.
We have this sense that being lured in by someone's lies online as a thing that you hear about on the news, when the reality is we're all reading different kinds of lies every day, and most of us are probably quite good at telling them ourselves. And maybe we even have to be, maybe being good at bending the truth online is part of what keeps up sane, alive, offline.
Love this topic, love the way Erin approaches it. Wasn't expecting such a lovely, emotional ending.
