I was not partial to the formula- huge build up, mediocre “twist”, bland resolution. I love Stephen King, as many do, but this just did not hit right. The plot had potential to be great, I just feel like it was danced around too long to be satisfying perhaps. 

Maybe King did this on purpose, I haven’t looked into it, but Bob very much brings Dennis Rader (BTK) to my mind. Very similar MOs.

I only read A Good Marriage and not 1922, but it was a good story. It wasn't my favorite thing ever, but worth the read. 
There were definitely some extremely questionable choices, besides the whole murder thing.

A great little novella that brought up a great question on what you would do if your partner was not the person you had thought they were. I’m not sure if the reviews are based on the audiobook or just expecting the usual grime and horror that comes with King, but I read the book and I like seeing things different from his usual style. It was a really tight and solid book that I enjoyed a lot.
