Don't go into the book thinking it's revolutionary because it's many things but not that. The story is mainly very predictable and the characters lack some level of consistency. I understand people change, but the pussification of xaden did piss me off a little bit. Dont worry it's not actually that bad and, the book overall, made my day so good every time i picked it up. I swear to god i love that type of humor and sass. I don't know how Rebecca Yarros managed to do so but she wrote an extremely obvious book with the stereotypical main character syndrome and so-what-not but surprised me me with quite a couple of plot points. I usually see them coming but i did like it because you would read it, be left incredulous and it would after fall into the of course that happen. All of that to say i had so so much fun reading it. In my opinion better than acotar if you want a comparison point, but again of course they died and they did not. When you'll finish the book you'll get it, but i didn't feel like blurring the names for the spoiler so i hope you'll get it. Ps. I did like the
just because you're body is weak doesn't mean you can't ride. You worked harder than most students and deserve it point. It felt really supportive and body positive in a way that it was both subtle and wholesome
. In conclusion good job, could do a better one, but i loved it!

Flying Fantastic!

What an amazing read! This is my first fantasy read and it won’t be the last. I loved the way Rebecca developed each character, drawing you further into the fantasy world. This fantasy world is so believable and beautiful. I have fallen in love with the world of magic and dragons. The story involving Violet and Xadan is fun, frustrating, funny, heart tugging, exciting, suspenseful and all the other feels. Just one favor for those who like to read the last few pages first—-DON’T!
