Reread: so it must mean something if I want to reread it immediately after finishing. Bumped from 4.25 to a 4.5. Honestly if it had 50-100 more pages and went into more detail or more interactions it would be an easy 5 star. Just kinda rushed sometimes!!

This is hands down my favorite read of the year, so far!
An ever relatable main character, Percy, who navigates her twenties with a profound passion for music mixed with loneliness and confusion of entering the harsh realities of adulthood. Forever close to happiness, but divided by pride, drive, selfishness, and pursuits of deep passions. I already want to re-read, I want these characters story to live on forever. Happy, sad, mad, understanding and soooo much more captured in this storyline

I went into this book so excited the idea was so interesting to me it was being compared to the favorites and daisy jones which are two five star reads for me so maybe it’s my fault for having that idea in my head bc this fell flat for me unfortunately. This wasn’t a bad book by any means it just wasn’t for me I just didn’t feel enough, i wanted more and i didn’t feel their romantic connection at all honestly.. they both felt a little immature as people and it frustrated me bc i wanted to love them- but on a lighter note the storyline was great and there were some really good quotes in here i just wasn’t a fan of the execution i guess? i dontknoooow
