This is shaping up to be an excellent series. More worldbuilding, more extremely well developed characters and a lot more angst. You know I love angst.

This series would be great for fans of ACOTAR... very similar themes and tropes but of course, no fae. If the spice was turned up a notch or two, it would be a full five stars, or even more!

Second book of the series and though shorter than the first it still gripped me from the first page.
I loved both main characters. Especially amandas collection of elements was a nice little detail that made me understand, know and like her immediatly.
Jaret is a broken male, not knowing how to fix it. I really like how the author uses therapy in the form of jen to tackle some deep rooted issues.

4.5 stars. A wonderful continuation to the Arcav series.

Jaret was initially cold and unfeeling, and kept Amanda at a distance (he falls off that wagon a lot). Amanda on the other hand was fearless. Not just how she reacted to being kidnapped by the Grivath, but how open she was emotionally. I found their love story and HEA very satisfying.

Another Instant Love Sci-fi romance.

I feel like this book could have had more of a story line to it. I needed more background between the couple. I loved the first two books because there was so much backstory. The couple took the time to get to know each other and then fell in love. Jaret and Amanda would argue then make out or have sex. Then all of a sudden she was in love with him. It made no sense.

Oh no, no, no, no.

The Good: I have enjoyed the Arcav overarching storyline, and I want to see what happens. It's become a alien space soap opera for me, and the teasers for future couples has me all in. The trope for this is uptight, repressed hero+sunshine heroine=smutnip heaven for me. Usually. There are moments where there's some good potential. And then....

The Bad: There's OW stank all up in this joint. The only reason I am giving this more than one star is there is a reason beyond Jaret's sheer dumbassery. For OW being part of the story, Ms. Hart did give it a good try to get me to accept it. I think would might have made a teeny, tiny difference would have been to get more of Jaret's history earlier in the story, to keep my mind open to him. When the dark moment happened, I just felt the undeniable urge to tell that seven foot alien to bend down so I could kick him in the ass.

The Bottom Line: OW mess is a hard line for me, and while this had some legit reasons, it's still a no from me. But I still like this series enough that I'm diving into the next one.
