I received a copy from Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review.

This is a good book. The story is great, and the characters are good too. Sasha is hot, charming, and passionate, especially when he dances. Rory is smart, cute, and also passionate about dancing. I did not like James, he was a controlling boyfriend to Rory. I don't think she needed that in her life.

However, there is not really any romance in the story, although it is hinted. It made the book a bit boring. The dancing in the book is the reason this book has more than two stars. The ending was okay, but could have been better. It was not a cliffhanger, but it left you wanting more. I hope there is more romance in the next two books. Overall, an okay read.

There were some things about this novel that really frustrated me. I would have liked some more development of the characters, particularly Rory. I felt it was a bit slow at times.

What I really enjoyed was the dancing. It was very beautifully described and makes me want to take up ballroom dancing now.

wow, what an ending....I just loved all the descriptions of Blackpool, how it worked, etc. It felt very real to me, like I was there. The only downside to me was that I feel Sasha's character/backstory wasn't as fleshed out as they could be over the course of the three books and so the mystery part of this book felt rushed to me. But overall, if you like dancing and romance, you need to pick these three books up now!

wow... I couldn't put it down! Great character connection and development (though I'd like even more about Sasha). In addition, great romance scenes!

First, let me preface this by saying I am friends with the author. Secondly, wow... what a great book! At first, I really wanted to hate Rory because she was such a doormat but then I got into the book and found there are probably underlying issues to that. Then I wanted to smack Cheryl and Luna... seriously those two! And then the ending?! Excellent, Excellent way to end the first book. I cannot wait to start reading book #2. My only issue overall with the book was that some of it was a little too over-descriptive for my tastes but that is a personal thing.

As a personal note, it was really fun to a)see my name, [a:Tonya Plank|3241738|Tonya Plank|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1432844229p2/3241738.jpg] was that intentional? ;) And b)nice to see you incorporate your blog name into a nickname. That was fun!

I wish Goodreads had half/ three quarters stars because I'd give it 4 and 3/4 :)
